The AHSE website publishes a list of Certified Hanna Somatic Educators from around the globe. This professional directory is one of the best ways to help the public find you. To be listed, you must be a Charter or Certified member and current with your annual dues.

The AHSE website has been developed to serve both the public and our members. Its purpose is to educate prospective clients about Hanna Somatic Education® and to support the work of our practitioners. We welcome your input on how we can improve our site.

Each year, the Association’s convention provides continuing education, workshops, movement classes, important association meetings. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from colleagues and master practitioners in related somatic disciplines.

AHSE members receive a $24 discount on ABMP annual membership. ABMP’s membership provides liability insurance for bodyworkers. (For more information click the button below this text.) To receive your first discount, you must call ABMP and ask for the Affinity discount as a member of the Association for Hanna Somatic Education, Inc. Once you are in the Affinity database, your discount will be automatic upon renewal.

A vault of audio, video, and written content to help enrich your continued learning journey and benefit your clients and students through your practice. This resource is available to you 24/7 while you are an AHSE member.

Attend monthly online presentations offered by your fellow members, followed by a community discussion. Then access these recorded presentations in your own time in our learning library to deepen your understanding and skills.

Somatic Connections is an online community comprised of students and graduates of the Novato Institute. We hold monthly meetings for our AHSE community to support comradeship, educate our practitioners about marketing in an online world, how to connect with like-minded professionals, find new resources online and in person, and grow our practices and communities. We host online community chats, to broaden the understanding of Thomas Hanna’s work and how it can be applied to support overall well-being and to deny the myth of aging!

A brand new benefit for our valued AHSE members. Over a decade’s worth of Annual convention audio recordings for you to listen to and learn from. This benefit is only available to current AHSE members.

AHSE Certified and Student members receive access to a free downloadable Hanna Somatics customizable, full-color brochure. We provide separate brochures for Certified and Student members. So, even while in training, students can begin to promote their work.

AHSE members can make a difference in the future of Hanna Somatic Education by being nominated to become members of the AHSE Board of Directors, or by serving on one of several dynamic Board committees.

AHSE works to educate the general public and other healing professionals about Hanna Somatic Education® and the work our members do. Our members present educational workshops, and produce informative educational submissions for magazines, journals, etc.

The Association facilitates collaboration on research and data gathering about somatics and Hanna Somatic Education®.
